My Story

I believe nothing happens by coincidence, but by divine intervention.

My love for art was nurtured from a young age when my mom would spend time with me colouring in pictures. She would always encourage me to go outside and draw the big trees in the garden. I would be so proud of my work because she was proud of it. As I grew older I would win colouring-in competitions at school and get high grades for my artwork. Sadly I dropped Art in my senior years of high school.

After 9 years of my talent being dormant, Work of His Hands was birthed in 2017.

I was working in the IT industry for a year when I began to feel frustrated and dissatisfied in my job. I reached out to a friend at that time and shared my frustrations with her. She asked me one simple question that nobody had ever asked me before, “What is it that you love to do?”… The first thing that came to mind was painting.

This was really a divine moment for me where I realised that with God anything is possible and if this desire to paint is so strongly on my heart to pursue then it is a heavenly purpose. I immediately went to buy my first painting starter kit and never looked back.

I have now been painting for 6 years, self-taught. I started the art workshops in 2021 as I had a deep desire to teach others and encourage them to pursue their passions no matter what. WOHH has expanded in painting Live at Weddings as well as Worship events, coming alongside ministers sharing the Gospel through art.

My heart is to one day be a full time artist, teaching people of all ages to paint and pursue their God given talents. I want people to feel that they are LIVING and not just surviving through life. I want them to know deeply that they can become a successful artist. I’ve had to fight voices that told me a career in art would not be a success, but I stood on what God placed within me, I stood on what my passion was and what I believed whole heartedly Jesus has purposed me to do.

I want others to never give up on their dreams because of what others say, but rather pursue it because of what God says.
